Special Services

Vision Sunday

Vision Sunday is one of the first Sundays in January.  During this Sunday, we reveal our yearly theme, new programs, new outreach ministries, and more.  This is the kick-off to an action-packed, life-changing year.

First Sunday Fellowship

Every month on the first Sunday, we enjoy First Sunday Fellowship.  After the morning service, we enjoy dinner on the grounds in our fellowship hall.  People bring a dish or two, and the church provides fried chicken.  After the meal, we gather back in the auditorium for our afternoon service.  This service replaces our evening service.

Faith Family Fellowship

About once a quarter, we have an activity at the church that offers activities for all ages.  We provide a lunch and a chance to show that Christians can live right and have fun.  Everyone gets involved from ages 5 to 105.  It is just a time families can come together with other families and enjoy Christian fellowship.

Magic and Morality

About every other year, we have Evangelist David Corn and family in for special meetings.  Bro. Corn is an illusionist who uses his talents to get into public schools and spread the Gospel all over the United States.  During his week of meetings at our church, he will preach all three services on Sunday, each night from Monday through Wednesday, and hold a special community-wide Gospel outreach on Thursday night where he will use professional illusions.  At the end of this show, he will preach the Word of God.  For more information on the Corn's ministry please visit www.evangelistdavidcorn.com.

Faith Family Worship Service

We have special Sunday night services about once a quarter.  We model these special services after Acts 2:46, "...house to house..."  During these special services, instead of meeting at the church for the evening service, we meet at different church members' houses to worship the Lord in prayer, praise, songs, testimonies, and preaching.

Mother/Daughter Tea

The Saturday before Mother's Day, the ladies get together for a special fellowship.  Mrs. Tiffany Folsom and Mrs. Leah Clark do a great job of heading this up and making it special for every mother and daughter.

Father/Son Brunch

Fathers and sons are invited to our annual brunch we do the Saturday before Father's Day.  We have a great time of eating (eggs, grits, biscuits and gravy, bacon, and more), fellowshipping, and spending time with family.

Sunday Night Specials

During the summer months on Sunday nights, we offer a small fellowship after the evening service.  These fellowships may include ice cream, nachos, popcorn, sandwiches, etc.

Terrific Tuesdays

Usually in the month of September, we change our Wednesday night services to Tuesday nights.  Each of these Tuesday nights we have a local pastor come and preach.  It is like having a special meeting every week during this month.  We also offer a supper before the service.

Fall Festival

The weekend before Halloween, we have a Fall Festival at our school's grounds.  We offer activities like bouncy houses, football throw, hay ride, face painting, pool noodle games, cake walk, and much more.  This event is published around the community so we can use it as an outreach and spiritual alternative to regular behavior.

Steak Lunch

Every Sunday before Thanksgiving, we have a big steak lunch.  We offer steaks, baked potatoes, salad, and desserts.  Although this is not in place of our First Sunday Fellowship, the daily schedule is just like a First Sunday Fellowship.  We also give out steak lunches to all those on duty in the Sheriff's office and EMT.

Dessert Fellowship

During the Thanksgiving week, we move our Wednesday evening service to Tuesday night.  Everyone brings a dessert and we fellowship together.  The service comprises of singing, praises, testimonies, and preaching.  There may be a fun game or two in there as well.

Western Sunday

Western Sunday is a day everyone looks forward to.  The auditorium is decorated with western decorations, people come wearing western outfits (jeans, bolo ties, vests, boots, etc.).  If you don't have an western apparel, don't worry just come as you are.  We also have our annual chili cook-off then as well.  CONGRATULATIONS TO BETH WHITE FOR HAVING THE BEST CHILI IN 2015!  Western Sunday is always on the first Sunday in December.

Winter Bible Conference

Our Winter Bible Conference falls somewhere between December and February.  The meetings are usually Sunday through Wednesday.  Dr. Alton Beal, president of Ambassador Baptist College, has preached the past two years.  This is a great opportunity for us to start off the new year focused on putting God first in every part of our lives.

Ladies' Christmas Luncheon

Every year on a weekend before Christmas, our ladies get together for a lunch at the church.  This fellowship is packed with food, laughter, games, white elephant gift exchange, and tons of memories.  This is one of the highlights of the year for our ladies.

Adult Christmas Party

This is usually the last church fellowship we have before the new year.  Every year we have a blast!  There is food, fellowship, stories, laughter, games, skits, and more.  We also play the white elephant gift exchange as well at this party.  Child care is provided so the adults can just relax and have a ball!
